Arctic Autonomy builds sovereign AI systems for maritime operators. Sovereign means the data stays under your control, so this policy sets out exactly what personal data we hold, why we hold it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are

Arctic Autonomy is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. Reach us through the contact form for any privacy question, including the requests described below.

Data we collect

• Data you give us. Your name, company, work email, and anything you write when you contact us.
• Customer data. Documents, messages, and operational records that a customer connects to the platform so their agents can work. This data belongs to the customer, and we process it only on their instructions.
• Technical data. Standard server logs from this website, including IP address, browser type, and pages requested, kept for security and diagnostics.

How we use it

We use contact details to answer you and to arrange and follow up on conversations. We process customer data to deliver the service the customer has asked for, which includes extracting figures, checking them against rules, and producing an evidence trail. We use technical data to keep the site available and to investigate abuse.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Legal bases

Where GDPR applies, we rely on legitimate interests to respond to business enquiries and to secure our systems, on contract to deliver the service to our customers, and on consent where consent is required and has been given. Where we process customer data, the customer is the controller and we act as processor under our agreement with them.

Sharing and processors

We share personal data only with service providers who help us run the business, such as hosting, email, and analytics providers, each bound by contract to process data on our instructions. We may disclose data where the law requires it, and we will tell the affected customer unless we are prohibited from doing so.

International transfers

We are based in the United States and may transfer data there. Where data originates in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, transfers are made under Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism.

Retention

We keep enquiry details for as long as we have an active conversation with you and for a reasonable period afterwards. Customer data is retained for the term of the customer agreement and deleted or returned on request at the end of it, unless we are legally required to keep it longer.

Security

Access to production systems is limited to the people who need it, authentication is enforced, and actions taken by agents are written to an audit trail. See the security section on our home page for the standards we work to.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent. California residents may also request disclosure of the categories of personal information collected and may opt out of sale or sharing, which we do not do. To exercise any right, use the contact form. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising these rights.

Cookies

This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Any cookie we do set is required for the site to function.

Changes

If we change this policy the current version always sits on this page, and where the change is significant we tell affected customers directly.
